Case Study Analysis
While I lack the ability to actively work with students in SPED programs or diagnosed with issues, I have access to different grade levels with students marked as difficult by their teachers.
I started with the case study for Emotional/Behaviour Disorder for Bobby. I modified the approach to be a grade 2 lesson. I researched different practices for interventions with students who struggle with EBD.
Sticking to what I know, I used language learning as the core theme for the lesson and then planned a class.
I got to teach this lesson this past week, following my lesson plan and working with the students using the structures I'd researched. I felt that it was successful and look forward to hearing feedback next week from their normal teacher.
