Juggling as an attention grabber before a lesson.
David Templeton
Teacher, student, and parent.
I come from South Africa, where I grew up in different cities, with the bulk of my time spent in the Free State province. I enjoy science, technology, and building. This leads me to seek creative ways for my students to get dirty and have fun during classes.
Currently, I am living in Shanghai, China, and working as a kindergarten teacher and foreign grade leader. I have been working as a teacher in China since 2016 and plan to continue my educational practice here.
I have completed my certification for TEFL (Teach English as a Foreign Language), TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), TEOL (Teaching English to Online Learners), and TEYL (Teaching English to Young Learners).
I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Education. My speciality is in Early Childhood Education and Special Education.
I am a licensed teacher in the District of Columbia, US and have also received my British Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
