The Universal Design for Learning
For this assignment, I chose a fairly recent lesson. My lesson plans are written so that any of my co-teachers could teach my class if I am not able (I generally don't let that happen, but sometimes life intervenes).
The lesson plan I chose is by design. I will be doing the same lesson again this coming week as a review and will try to implement the changes I've made during this assignment.
I started with my original lesson plan as my "working template."
I took my lesson plan and reflected on what took place during the class, taking note of what improvements could be made. These reflections are at the bottom of the updated lesson plan.
Then using universal design elements, I made modifications to the lesson plan, which I've left highlighted for easy comparison.
