Reflection

Data-driven instruction is effectively my bread and butter. We constantly have meetings to discuss our monthly goal, how to reach it and what modifications need to be made to get there. An example of this that I mentioned during the VC would be in this month's English course. Our summative assessment for the L2 learners is for them to know "colour" vocabulary and use specific dialogue like "my favourite colour is". We did a pre-assessment at the start of the month and found that all the students already knew their colours; this meant we had to change our learning goal (level it up essentially) and include new learning content. Had we not done pre-assessments, the month would have been poorly planned and not as impactful as it could be.
